Dear Parent or Guardian,

There have been recent issues of cars being parked inconsiderately outside Mersey Park Primary School causing an obstruction. These vehicles are a danger to pedestrians, particularly the school children, and are causing problems to other road users.

As an alternative to taking police action and issuing fixed penalty notices to those responsible, on this occasion, we are asking your immediate cooperation when parking vehicles.

Always take positive action to ensure that you do not cause any obstruction in the area. When you park, please:

  • Be mindful of residents in the area and do not obstruct their driveways
  • Please do not park on the pavement or on grass verges, and avoid dropped curbs and corners.
  • Never park on or opposite to any yellow zigzag markings
  • Never park where a school crossing patrol is operating.

Parking at the school will be monitored by your local neighbourhood police team. Those who continue to cause problems will be dealt with accordingly and could be issued a fixed penalty notice

Many thanks for your continued co-operation and support.

Yours faithfully,

Neighbourhood Policing Team,

Bebington Police Station
