.: Shoe Share Collection for Unicef
October 8, 2018.
Rights Respecting Schools
On Monday 8th October we will be hosting a ShoeShare collection, to
support children across the world and help them access their right to
education (Article 28). Please gather your old and unwanted shoes, and
bring them into school. For every tonne of shoes collected, a donation is
made to Unicef which goes towards education programmes around the world.
A few things to remember:
Please make sure that the shoes are in relatively good condition, so no holes or broken soles!
Please pair your shoes with a rubber band to make it easier to sort and pack shoes.

9:15 am: Year 1 Visit to Royden Park
October 11, 2018 –
YEAR 1 VISIT TO ROYDEN PARK
The pupils in Year 1 are planning a visit to Royden Park on Thursday 11th October 2018. We will be departing at 9.15am and will return to school at approximately 11.40am.
The purpose of this visit is to experience some Forest School activities on the theme of Seasons. These activities will encourage the children to make decisions, solve problems and work as a team. The activities will be led by trained, experienced Rangers in areas of the park especially designed for these activities.
The children will need to wear casual trousers or jogging bottoms, long sleeved tops, a waterproof coat and wellies or old trainers. All clothes should preferably be old as they may get dirty!
If the weather is good, please ensure that your child has a sun hat/cap and sun screen should be applied before they arrive at school.
We would appreciate a voluntary contribution of £4.50 per child to help cover the cost of this trip. Please arrange for payment to be made via ParentPay and return your completed permission slip by Friday 25th October 2018.
